An exaggeration? Maybe.
But it is undeniable that our apartments are really ideal and privileged position, as well as an enviable view on one of the most beautiful natural landscape in Italy!

For those who do not know, Antey-Saint-Andrè is located in the Valtournenche, about 30 km from Aosta. It is a beautiful area, guarded by high mountains, like a jewel in a casket. The mountains protect the valley from the wind, and it is rich in forests of pines, larches and white firs. Meadows underlie the slopes, and Lake Lod, about 1400 meters, surrounded by dense vegetation of aquatic plants, is an ideal destination for hiking and walking. Other unmissable excursions are the ascent to La Magdeleine, passing Avout, to the plateau of Chamois (also reachable via the Buisson cableway).

In short, the place itself is beautiful, people are friendly, food is excellent, as in the whole Valley, but if that were not enough, it is located in the center of several locations very easy to reach. In practice, it can be the ideal base for those who want to visit and discover all the Valley beauties, avoiding the crowds of the most famous tourist centers. Starting from Antey it is convenient to move to practice all kinds of sports and activities.

Any idea?

We take skiing for granted: the Matterhorn ski area ski lifts and slopes are famous worldwide, and annually they attract thousands of fans and sportsmen, who come here to train before competitions.

But Antey also reserves other surprises.

Have you ever thought you could try riding a sled dog pack through breathtaking landscapes worthy of an adventure novel?
Now you can do it. In Aosta Valley several Sleddog centers are born, and two of them are very close to Antey-Saint-André and to Maison du Tatà: the Breuil-Cervinia Sleddog center and the Crazy Dog Adventure at La Magdalene (+39 348.1340953 ( Cristian) E-mail: crazydogschool@gmail.com)
Accompanied by qualified instructors and in maximum security conditions, you can experience the thrill of facing an extremely evocative route through unspoiled nature, with the possibility of have lunch at altitude and even nocturnal excursions!

There are also numerous routes for snowshoe lovers.

It is inebriating to walk on the snow without sinking, between the swaying pine trees touched by the cold wind and the pure and fresh air that takes your breath away!

In addition to the trail that connects La Magdeleine and Chamois, moving towards Cervinia there are two itineraries in the Plan Maison area, which can be easily reached by cable car. The two routes are safe and tracked.

The first runs along the left side of the Plan Maison chairlift (2.500 m) and goes up to the top station of the “Fornet” chairlift (2.800 m), the other leads from Plan Maison to Cime Bianche Laghi station (2.812 m) ), at the departure for the Plateau Rosà cableway.

Also in Valtournenche, in the locality of Plan Bois (follow the signs for the restaurant “Foyer des Guides”), there is another suggestive route that goes up along the upper part of the ski area, through beautiful beech forests. Also in Valtournenche starting from the arrival station of the Valtournenche-Salette lift (2.281 m), there is another route, the “Tour de Mande”, also suitable for cross-country skiing.

A very special snowshoe trail runs along the Maen Lake just 3 km away from Valtournenche.

A tip: if you do not have experience it is always better to rely on the Alpine Guides of the Matterhorn.
